Dave Batista, the brother I wish I never had! I met Dave when he moved to Tampa in 2005 and I sold him a house in North Tampa where he resides to this day! They may say he is from Washington DC on T.V., but Dave is a proud resident of Tampa, Florida! Dave is a great guy and is quick to offer a helping hand to many charities including the Make A Wish Foundation. A very private man. I often have disagreements with Big Dave, but his heart is in the right place. I respect him as a man. The #1 thing in his life is his daughter - and despite his extensive travel, he is an excellent father.
He started his WWE career in 2002 on an episode of SmackDown! as Deacon Bautista, as an enforcer for Reverend D-Von.. Batista made his WWE in-ring debut in a tag match teaming with D-Von against Randy Orton and Faarooq with Batista pinning Orton after using his spinebuster. After splitting with D-Von, he signed with Raw and aligned himself with Ric Flair. In January 2003, Batista joined with Triple H, Ric Flair, and Randy Orton to form the stable Evolution.
At Armageddon 2003, Batista took part in two matches; losing to Shawn Michaels in match, and winning a tag team turmoil match with Ric Flair. At the 2004 Survivor Series, Triple H, Batista, Gene Snitsky, and Edge faced-off against Maven, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Randy Orton in an 8-Man Elimination Tag Match. The rest is history.
After winning the World Heavyweight Title (5 times now) Dave Batista is now the face of the WWE and is one of the biggest draws in the wrestling industry.
